Remington 870 from Norway

My nickname is Papi, and I’m from the snowy parts of Europe; Norway. This is my first shotgun, a Remington 870 Express, which I bought pretty standard, used around only 200 rounds. This was bought for hunting-purposes.

The very same day I purchased the gun, I went on the famous internet, and yeah, bought stash to my new little toy.

* Hogue overmolded stock and forend
* TacStar Magazine tube extension (5 shells)
* TacStar Sidesaddle (carries 6 shells)

Everything was mounted the very same day I got the package, with no problems at all.

The only issue I had, was with the tube-extension. With the original size of the nut-end, there would be a gap between the original tube, and the extender. This gave me a bit of a headache, so I decided to cut down the nut-end on the extension with only some millimetres at the time, and guess what? Works like a charm. Altough I’ve only have 9+1-capacity now, it was a sweet modification.

Here’s a picture of it before, and after the transformation.

It looked good with the Hogue-stock, and it was very practical, but just today I converted it back to it’s original stock and forend, still with the extension and sidesaddle. Altough, again, I encountered another problem. The original forend won’t cycle all the way back, since it will conflict with the saddle. Insted of removing the saddle, I just sawed off a bit of the wood on the forend, and guess what? It still looks classic, but with the practical use in hand.

Why removing the Hogue-stock? Well, I’m a kid, in an adult body, and I want the Magpul SGA-kit for my R’870.

Satisfied with my ‘870? Hell yeah.

Keep it good guys, keep posting pictures and mods of your guns!

Regards, Papi in snowy Norway
