ATI ( Advanced Technology International ) Talon Tactical Adjustable Shotgun Stock for the Remington 870 12 GA
New review for the contest.
I would like to give a review on the ; ATI ( Advanced Technology International ) Talon Tactical Adjustable Shotgun Stock for the Remington 870 12 GA.
I spent a lot of time researching the best butt stock for my needs.
I own a Remington 870 Express Synthetic 7+1 for home defense and fun slugging.
This gun is used in the house in tight quarters, and with friends & family on public land, out in the open.
I decided to purchase the ATI Talon Tactical Adjustable Shotgun Stock for Remington 870.
The adjustability of the stock makes it so I can hand it to anybody on the range and they can make it comfortable to use.
I really like the Scorpion pistol grip. It has recoil reducing material that pushes against your palm when firing.
I think this is a big advantage when using pistol grips on any firearm (I use the 20 GA version on my 7600 pump in .308).
The ergonomics of the finger grips give you a sure and positive hold while shooting.
Having the pistol grip lets me hold my elbow in tighter to my side, kind of like being in fighting position.
This makes my shotgun more naturally comfortable to shoot.
I purchased the one without the recoil system because;
1. I heard that maybe the recoil could cause you to hit yourself in the face.
2. The recoil may cause a hiccup that makes the muzzle come off target more.
3. I like to use the motion of the natural recoil to pull my forend back for quick reloading.
I looked around to see if there where cheaper butt stocks, but am glad I paid a little extra for this one.
I wouldn’t want something different.
The simplicity of the install and the quality of materials is really a value.
ATI makes these and many other configurations for most shotguns to fit your needs.
Here are some pictures of what my 870 looks like now.
