Hey Vitaly,

You were correct, I just need to correct myself, I wrote "forged MIM" which are two different things. forged (non MIM) is what you want and MIM (metal injection molded) is what you don't want. I actually purchased and listed the forged extractor.

Take care, J.R.

Hello Vitaly,

Great post! Just thought I should let you know I read that the sear spring on the 870's will get mushy after a couple thousand rounds so it too should be on the list and if someone is going to purchase a replacement extractor I would recommend spending the extra $ and get the Rem forged MIM extractor and use the original for a back up. I tore my gun apart last week and noticed the factory extractor was in very poor condition. I read about this and found that the Rem express chamber requires a lengthy break in period to loosen it up which is why shell casings stick in the chamber, which is why my (standard non MIM)extractor is in such bad shape, so I purchased a MIM extractor. My new barrel will arrive soon and I will be boring the chamber prior to firing to prevent these problems in the future. Here is the link for the extractor for anyone interested.
